Visual Intelligence researchers had the great pleasure of talking to high school students about the AI study programme at UiT The Arctic University of Norway during the UiT Open Day‍‍.

Researchers Kristoffer Wickstrøm, Solveig Thrun, and Johan Mylius-Kroken hosted a stand activity, showing the students how AI is used to detect people and objects.

Additionally, PhD Fellow Christian Salomonsen gave an interactive mini-talk to students about AI and its applications in medicine and health, sheding light on the possibilities and challenges of using this technology in healthcare. A former UiT student, Salomonsen told the audience about the UiT student life and how it is to study AI at the university.

Thanks to all students who dropped by to hear more about the AI programme at UiT! We hope to see many new students in the coming fall‍‍.
