We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all aspects of Deep Learning for the Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference (NLDL) 2025.

NLDL 2025: Call for Papers and Abstracts

We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all aspects of Deep Learning for the Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference (NLDL) 2025. The topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • General Machine Learning (active learning, clustering, online learning, ranking, reinforcement learning, supervised, semi- and self-supervised learning, time series analysis, etc.)
  • General Deep Learning (architectures, generative models, deep reinforcement learning, etc.)
  • Optimization (convex and non-convex optimization, matrix/tensor methods, stochastic, online, non-smooth, composite, etc.)
  • Probabilistic methods (Bayesian methods, variational inference, graphical models, etc.)
  • Social and economic aspects of Machine Learning (accountability, causality, fairness, privacy, robustness, interpretability, etc.)
  • Applications (vision, language, signals, speech and audio,  etc.)
  • Deep Learning for Sciences (biology and medicine, environment and ecology, physics, etc.)

Submission deadlines: September 2nd (Papers) and October 20th (Abstracts).

About NLDL

The Northern Lights Deep Learning (NLDL) Conference is an annual science conference within Deep Learning that gathers researchers from across the globe to Tromsø, Norway to exchange ideas, encourage collaborations and present cutting-edge research.

The conference includes a full-fledged program of highly relevant and recent topics in Deep Learning and hosts high profile international researchers as invited keynote speakers.

NLDL 2025 will be held from January 7th-9th 2025 and is organized by UiT The Arctic University of Norway, UiT Machine Learning Group, and SFI Visual Intelligence.
