Visual Intelligence represented at Arctic Frontiers 2024

Artificial intelligence (AI) was one of several talking points during this year's Arctic Frontiers (AF) from January 29th to February 1st. The conference is described as a catalyst for decision-making and network building by mobilizing key voices of science, policy, business, and local Arctic communities, to rapidly turn knowledge into actions.

Visual Intelligence (VI) director and UiT professor Robert Jenssen represented VI during the AF panel discussion "Tilpasning til fremtidens næringsliv: kunnskap og kunstig intelligens" ("Adjusting to the future of industry: knowledge and artificial intelligence").

Jenssen and the panel addressed questions concerning the possibilites and challenges related to synergies between knowledge, politics and industry, while discussing the use of AI and the benefits and challenges of AI-assisted technologies.
