High schoolers visited Visual Intelligence in Tromsø

We were happy to host a school class from Kongsbakken upper secondary school at UiT The Arctic University of Norway on March 13th.

Associate professor and PI Kristoffer Wickstrøm gave the students an introduction to the field of AI, exploring the possibilites and challenges associated with the technology.

After this introductory overview, the students got to try out different interactive practical tasks involving image filtering and detection of sea urchins using AI.

Wickstrøm also gave the students a look into the vast amount of career opportunities within AI, encouraging them to become future researchers in the field of AI and deep learning.

We hope to host many more school classes in the future. Thank you to all the students and Kristoffer for an enriching and productive session!
