VIGS Workshop at Skibotn: Popular Science 101

The Visual Intelligence Graduate School invites all early-career researchers to a 3-day workshop on popular science communication, taking place from November 18–20 at Skibotn feltstasjon.

This workshop will introduce you to the principles of popular science communication, provide practical tips for effective dissemination, and help you refine your ability to present your research in an engaging and accessible way. There will also be a social program with different activities to be announced.

The interactive 3-day program will include:

  • An introduction to popular science communication
  • Practical advice on communicating your research (e.g., pitching your research to the media, using LinkedIn)
  • Hands-on group activities
  • And more to be announced!

The workshop program is headed by Petter Bjørklund, Communications Advisor at Visual Intelligence. Bjørklund has three years of experience in science communication. He has communicated research from fields such as AI, odontology, antimicrobial resistance, substance abuse and psychiatry, and biomechatronics.

We look forward to seeing you!
